The Georgia Southern Psychology Clinic is facilitating a parenting group designed to strengthen the parent-child relationship and improve discipline techniques for families with children ages 2-8 beginning March 30 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Childcare will be provided. Please see the graphic for more information.

This group is a great opportunity to gain practical tools, build a connection with your child, and learn effective strategies in a supportive environment.

Metter Tiger Boys Basketball advances in the Region Tournament after a 61-59 win over Bryan Co! Next boys game: Thursday at 8:30 pm against Screven Co at Metter Middle School!!

Following careful consideration and coordination with local law enforcement, Candler County Schools will resume normal operations on Monday, February 2.

The safety and well-being of our families remain our top priority and we appreciate your understanding as we make decisions based on the best and most recent information available to us.

Candler County School District is working closely with the Emergency Management Agency to assess safety conditions for students and staff regarding Monday’s operations. A decision will be announced by 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Candler County School District’s Summer Feeding Program provides free, nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session, helping ensure students continue to have access to healthy food. We are sharing this public survey to gather community input on our current meal stops and potential new locations so we can better serve families this summer. Your feedback will help us improve routes, identify areas of need, and make the program more accessible for our community.

In Santa Sleigh 5K News....We have now pre-registered over 100 runners for Saturday's 5K!!! If you have not yet registered...it is NOT too late!!! You can continue to register online until midnight 12/12 or you can register in person the morning of the race.

Early packet pick-up is tomorrow, Friday 12/12 from 10AM-2PM @ the Metter High School Lobby. ALL other packets can be picked up at 8AM in front of City Hall on race day!!!
