This is a State Law that MHS/MCCA will implement this school year.

Under Georgia House Bill 1009 (HB 1009), students may not have personal communication devices seen or heard between 7:20 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. This includes, but is not limited to:

Cell phones

Smartwatches (can be worn, but not communicated on)

Earbuds/headphones (you can use wired earbuds/headphones for the

Chromebooks in classes that ask for them)

Tablets

Other personal communication devices

If a parent or guardian needs to contact a student during the school day, please call the school's front office, and staff will ensure the message is delivered.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to provide a focused, distraction-free learning environment for all students.
