Students from Metter College and Career Academy and Mrs. Karen Chasseaur's, MHS Robotic's Team visited The Southern Nuclear Plant in Baxley, Ga today. The Edwin I Hatch Nuclear Plant, Georgia's first nuclear-powered electric generating station, is located along the Altamaha River in Appling County. The plant is owned by Georgia Power, Oglethorpe Power, the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia and Dalton Utilities. Thank you Lisa Bell, Educator with Ga Power and Sara Waters, Plant Hatch. We enjoyed our tour!
