APs graduate RESA leadership program

A big congratulations to our Assistant Principals at MES and in Candler County for completing the First District RESA AP Cohort: Leadership Development Program. The cohort was comprised of 1st-3rd year Assistant Principals from Candler, Tattnall, Toombs, and Liberty County. Throughout the year-long cohort, our AP’s participated in leadership development exercises, panel discussions with superintendents and PAGE representatives, and met Gerry Brooks! After their final two day training in St. Simons Island, the five AP’s were recognized with a certificate of completion by Dr. Mark Wilson, a teacher, coach, principal and previous National High School Principal of the Year and Dr. Richard Smith, former principal and superintendent, now leading the FDRESA. Dr. Bubba Longgrear, Candler County Superintendent joined for the final panel discussion and celebration.

Congratulations to Mr. Scott Waters and Mr. Corey James, Assistant Principals at Metter High School and Metter College & Career Academy, Mrs. Miranda Rigdon, Assistant Principal at Metter Middle School, and our very own Mrs. Jennifer Lewis and Mr. Zach Rackett, Assistant Principals at Metter Elementary School. 🐾
