
MMS Football Tigers will take on Toombs County in The Pit (175 W Toombs Ave, Lyons) on Thursday, October 19 at 5 pm. This is the Region SemiFinals game, so come so your support for these hard-working Tigers!


The American Rescue Plan Act Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief required the Candler County School District to create a plan to ensure additional steps are taken to safely reopen schools for in-person instruction, keep schools open, and take appropriate measures to helps schools invest in mitigation strategies consistent with the CDC. In addition, school districts must address interrupted instruction by committing a minimum of 20% of these funds to address learning loss. Our Lady Tigers Softball Team will enter the Super Regionals on Wednesday, October 18 during Game 2 against Swainsboro Tigers at 2 pm at Crawford County High School. When we win Game 2, we will play the winner of Game 1 at 6 pm.

The address for the school is 400 East Agency Street, Roberta, GA. There will be designated fan parking at the front of the school beside the football stadium. To access the softball complex, fans enter through the visitor’s entrance of the football stadium. Stay to the far right walkway, and follow the walkway to the softball field.

MMS Lady Tigers are headed to the 🥎 CHAMPIONSHIP🥎. After their win 11-3 against Bryan County, the championship game will be Saturday at 10 am in Toombs County. 🏆

NOTICE!!! The last day for 7th grade shots (updated immunizations) will be Friday, September 29th. The local Health Department (428 N Rountree St, Metter 1-855- 473-4374) can provide these shots on a walk in basis. Students and parents have received two notices and phone calls in reference to these shots. Students will be sent home from school on Monday, Oct 2 and will not be able return until they have gotten these shots and these absences will be unexcused.

Offensively the team was lead by Zailee Thurman and Judson Vining who each had 4 RBI on the day. Emma West and Maddie White also added 2 RBI. Althea Reichard and Brook Lawrence each had 1. MMS Tiger Football remains UNDEFEATED after a big win tonight against ECI with a final score of 28-8!

The MMS Tigers softball team secured the 1st seed in the playoffs today with a 14-6 win over ECI and remain undefeated in sub-region play. Judson Vining got the win in the circle. She also had 2 hits and an RBI. Zailee Thurman and Kirsten Shuman lead the offense with 3 RBI each with Thurman collecting 3 huge hits and Shuman collecting one. Maddie White and Emma West added RBIs to the board as well! Althea Reichard added a hit. Way to #SweepTheWeek Tigers! Your MMS Tigers will play at home next Tuesday in the First round of the playoffs! Keep grinding, keep growing! Go Tigers!
