Metter High School and Metter College & Career Academy proudly announced this afternoon that Mr. Blake Jeffers, Construction Instructor, is their 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year! (you can see in the video they had to trick him by bringing him up to the office for his annual evaluation!

Mr. Jeffers teaches construction and heavy equipment operating classes inside the new MCCA building. He has been in education for 16 years, 13 of those being at Metter High School. This was his first year at the new MCCA building and it was quite a year for him, one he says "I needed this year for my career...it was uplifting, positive and I'm proud of what my students have accomplished." Mr. Jeffers also said that he is "grateful for the support I receive from the administration of the high school and the central office."
Mr. Jeffers is married to Stephanie, who is a former MES teacher but now hosts field trips at their family farm, Rock Hill Barn. The Jeffers' have two children, Kimber and Lucy, who are both in Metter Elementary School.
